5 More Days!

If you notice my counter, there are only 5 more days until the Great Princess Sophia of Lebanon moves to, for at least the next three years, Philadelphia. CD and I have started to pack and we're almost ready to ship out. Don't think Trot and Drew are going to enjoy the trip but nothing a small kitty dosage of valium can't fix! Auf Wiedersehen, do widzenia, au revoir, sayounara...the Great Upper Valley, I leave you I.A. and M-Life! Enjoy the next two years...just know that you WILL survive!

New Member to Blog Family:

Ok so I finally convinced CD that he should start a blog - mostly because I think it would be a fun way for us to stay in touch with the ones we are leaving in a little over a week. You know so they can keep up on what he will be doing next year since he may not ever see the light of day!! It will be a place for him to tell the funny stories of a day in the life of a resident. I am sure there will be many.

Ok so let's be honest - he'll tell me the stories and I will end up posting them online - but it's close enough!

New Spidey villain?

Topher Grace, in an effort to launch his movie career, will be leaving That 70's Show. He, along with Ashton Kutcher, will only make guest appearances in the upcoming season. I can only wonder where the show can go with two of the main characters out of the picture, but this is not the point of this posting.

Topher Grace has signed on to be one of two villains in the third installment of the Spider-Man phenomenon. Topher Grace a villain? Wait, he is too cute and sweet to play a villain - I mean just check out his picture to the left. He is so full of boyish charm and cuteness that I just want to pinch his cheeks. How is he going to play a villain?

If you happened to catch his role in Win a Date With Todd Hamilton and In Good Company then you know what I am talking about. He is always the nice guy finishes last type. Looks like I will have to wait until May of 2007 before I can really see if he can pull it off. I am curious I am the only one who thinks this is an odd choice.

Speaking of Vomiting Easily:

Six Flags New Jersey is coming out with a new rollers coaster that will supposedly take you from 0-120mph in 60 seconds - you go up approximately 13 stories high and then drop in a corkscrew fashion. Holy Vomit Machine Bateman. Click on the picture for all the details on this roller coaster that Princess Sophia will NEVER set foot on. I prefer to keep my insides on the inside if you know what I mean!

Moving Sale:

So we're having a moving sale - come buy stuff. Everything must go!

Three things I have learned:

(1) I am really really bored.

(2) Everyone else around me is really really NOT bored.

(3) I need to do something about it and stop venting my frustrations.

Lucky

Why am I lucky? Well becuase I managed to buy a copy of Scrubs Complete First Season yesterday four whole days before it is to be released!! CD and I watch epsiodes 1-5 yesterday - it is only the BEST show on TV.

CD and I were at BJ's Wholesale Club last night picking up some equal and as I was browsing through the DVD's what should appear. The DVD set of Scurbs. I was like oh my god - it isn't being released until tuesday - I am so lucky! So of course I had to buy it and not to mention it was about 5 bucks cheaper than it was listing on Amazon.com and I get it NOW!!!

Oh the simple things in life that make me so happy.

Spring Concert!

Today is my spring concert. Wish us luck! It should go really well - I think we sound really awesome. I have a two solo's - pray I don't forget the words.

The Mortgage People:

I know I haven't been posting as much recently - here is what I have been dealing with in the last week:

Buying a house is very stressful - especially when you can't get a hold of your mortgage broker. What an experience. I will tell you in a brief essay why I hate the mortgage people.

Bank of America how do I NOT love thee - Let me count the ways:

(1) Back in March we thought about the possibility of buying a house through a special mortgage through Bank of America for new Doctors. CD calls and speaks with a women who proceeded to tell us our credit wasn't high enough for the loan. We could try back in a month. So we decide we will rent. Click here for recap of what happened with that.

(2) Back to the drawing board - CD calls Bank of America again speaks to some guy this time. He says I don't know what that women told you but your credit is great! Of course you can be pre-approved. So long story short we're pre-approved. We're heading back to Philly.

(3) Week before we leave we still haven't received our pre-approval letter. Required to bid on properties. Call several times and leave several messages. For some reason it isn't the guy we spoke with's voice mail. Come to find out it is his mother....That's weird...So finally CD calls the main number and speaks to a lady who will fax over our information to the local branch here. Great pre-approval letter in hand! Off to Philly.

(4) The night before we leave there is a message from another women who is the mother of the guy who set us up. Saying that she would now be our contact person and to call her with any concerns. Well yeah we have concerns we can't get a hold of you. CD leaves her a couple messages explaining we're going to be in Philly and to call our cell phone. She never calls.

(5) We bid on our first property and try to contact the women - we need to get things into motion so we can be set when and if our bid is accepted. Still no answer only voice mail. In the meanwhile we need to set up an account with Bank of America so we head over to a branch near by our hotel. The people there are amazed at the service (or lack there of) we have been receiving. They try to help us but it being Friday afternoon there is not much they can do - but we at least have our account set up. I liked them. They also give us the name of a lady we can call who deals with their mortgages.

(6) Back at the hotel and still trying to get in touch with the mortgage lady - still no luck we decide to call the lady Ben dealt with - who was really helpful for him. She answers - Oh my god - a real person. She proceeds to tell Charlie that she can't help us because she is a good friends with the lady who is our contact and as a co-worker didn't want to step on her toes. We explain that we have been a little frustrated because she isn't getting back to us and we are on a tight time table and we have questions we need answered. She told us that she was overwhelmed because her son quit and left her with all these unfinished clients and she will go and find out what is going on but that is the best she can do.

(7) About an hour later (on our way to look at more properties) the lady calls us. Well about time. Answers our questions and tells us that the paperwork we need will be overnighted to us. Great! What a relief!

(8) I wish that were the happy ending however - we do get the Fed-Ex package and paper work and have some questions so we call this lady again. I leave her a message on Monday - CD leaves her a message on Tuesday - no call back - he tries again on Wednesday. We decide enough is enough and call the manager - voice mail...WTF??!!

(9) Finally Wednesday afternoon (late) we get a call from the manager's assistant. She proceeds to tell us that the the women who has been handling our account was in a serious accident and she is going to give us the number of someone else to call. We call her and get our questions answered. She tells us she will call me at work the next morning to lock in our interest rate.

(9) No call at work (mean while the inspection on our house is completed and goes really well). I get home from work (CD is on call) and there is a message form a different lady saying she wants to go over the rates and to call her back. I call and I told her I thought I was getting a call at work. She said the numbers must have gotten mixed up - and that she wasn't at the originally ladies office where our paper work was and if she could call me back in 1/2 hour...She never did call me back.

(10) CD gets home on Friday morning and calls the women and gets voice mail - calls every number we have and gets voice mails - finally he calls back to the women who took over for the accident lady and she took our account back. Locked in our rate and set up the appraisal for the property. Looks like everything is finally falling in to place. It only took dealing with seven different people from that office in North Carolina to get it taken care of. Jesus Christ......

I'm Dave Chappelle Bitch:

Chappelle's Show is a no-go, bitch!

In a surprise announcement Wednesday, Comedy Central announced that the highly anticipated third season of Dave Chappelle's show will not make its May 31 premiere date.

There have been so many troubles with the third season of this show - If I have to see one more repeat of Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories - I just may shoot myself.

No official reason was given for the shutdown, but sources told E! News that Chappelle has been MIA from the set for weeks. There was no indication on how long the suspension would last.

I wonder what the heck is going on? Apparently he has been MIA? Hmmmmmm. Anyone have any insight?

Our House! Yup that's right!

So Charlie and I bought a house in Philadelphia this weekend!! So I wouldn't jinx myself I didn't mention that before. It isn't totally definite yet but our offer on a three bedroom house was accepted! I have included some pictures. Roughly 1200 sq feet! I am so excited! It is in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The inspection is on Thursday and we close on the 3rd of June. The pictures are of the living room and kitchen!

I'm Back and I still HATE NJ

Hey all! We're back - awaiting hopefully some good news today about a house that CD and I bid on. I refuse to disclose any information at this time in fear of jinxing myself.

This post is to discuss my hatred of all NJ (yes there is more). I think that God hates me (another discussion for another day) because he put NJ on this earth. CD and I have come to the conclusion that people from NJ do not know how to drive. They suck at it in fact.

Who breaks every ten feet on a god damn highway when the car in front of you is four car lengths away??!! Who drives 10 MPH under the speed limit in the passing lane on a highway??!! And who coasts going uphill in the rain on a highway so that the rest of the traffic has to slow down a break causing serious congestion at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon??!!

The answer to all three questions is the IDIOTS from NJ*. Learn how to F*CKING drive!!!!!!!!!!! And learn how to pump your own gas!!!!!! ARGHHHH you idiots.
