The boys and I made some pumpkin pie today. It's for Shaun's kindergarten class, they are finishing up their pumpkin theme and are going to be sampling different types of pumpkin flavors! The house smelled so yummy!

Fall Bucket List
I think we all have those "must see/must do" Fall activities. Apple picking is one of my every year must do activities. It was a crazy Fall and we never made it over to Applecrest Farms, in Hampton Falls, NH (my all time favorite place to go!). Lucky for us though, we have a really nice orchard a couple miles down the street. And even luckier for us; Auntie Kristin was up for a visit so she got to come along!
Another typical Fall bucket list item is going to the Fair! For the past couple years, I have gone with my mom and sister to the Deerfield Fair. This year the whole family met up for a bit! I love going to the Fair, because I love the food! But being able to see the Flying Wallendas preform, is worth the price of admission!

365 ~ 2013: Day 298
Tonight was David's first piano recital! He has been practicing all week and had even memorized his piece. Tonight, though, he blanked in the middle. He sat their for what seemed like an eternity, poised and calm and then he found his place and and finished his song. Even though he forgot his notes, I was so proud of his composure up on stage in front of all those people.

Yesterday I dressed the husband and children up so that I could take our annual family portraits! I'm really happy with how they turned out but cannot get past the pose. The boys were so nice to humor me for some retakes today but in the end we'll stick with the original. Here is one of just the kiddos. This is going to look great in the new frame I just got for the family room!

Yesterday we headed to our friends to celebrate Brady and Cameron turning 8 and 6! They had a Halloween theme this year so the boys were excited to be able to wear their costumes. The kids all had a blast. My favorite part was eating some of that yummy chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting! YUM!

365 ~ 2013: Day 286
Today was race day! It was a gorgeous day, the boys had fun ringing their cow bells and getting high fives from Daddy as he crossed the 13th mile. This race we can't wait right at the finish, but we are close enough! Official results are in thanks to the new race technology! I was able to get them texted to me at the 5, 10 mile markers and the finish line! He raced a whole THREE minutes faster than last year. We are so proud!

Today was the first Family Center session of the school year. It's just Evan this year, since Shaun is in school everyday and he was pretty proud of himself putting this puzzle together without any help!
