365 ~ 2014: Day 22
Last night we went to Evan's preschool Parent/Teacher conference. His progress report was outstanding and is a model student. His teachers said that he is very aware of his peers and can tell you when someone is missing from the class. He has also recently mastered writing his name (he was writing his V upside down). No tantrums when he doesn't get his way or acting like the Mr. Bossypants he tends to be at home. He is confident and excited to learn, and there is nothing better than hearing that from your child's teacher!

365 ~ 2014: Day 9
While their big brothers had fun at ski club today, the little brothers had fun training for the Olympic Luge team. It's a little slick out there, and fast!

Happy New Year!
This is our third annual New Years-A-Palooza, and this year we added two munchkins (Owen and Isabella!) to the mix of children. So if you want to do the math, it's 3 couples, 10 kids ages 8 years to almost 4 months old, NINE boys and (finally!) ONE girl!
We decided that it was best to get the pictures out of the way first thing to try and eliminate any whining. It also helps to bribe them with dessert and sparklers for good behavior. Ha!
We decided to make things easier this year and instead of making a big meal we put out lots of have munchies and I made dough for homemade pizzas.
The Gang ~ 2013 |
The goal was to get a picture of all three together and have smiles all around. Challenge Accepted! |
The Momma's |
For some reason the kids always get the dinning room! Homemade cheese pizza and Shirley Temples! |
We ring in the New Year early with the kids by setting off fireworks and letting them swirl sparklers.
Ready for the show! |
Pretty! |
Waiting to light the sparklers! |
A little night time sledding for the older boys! |
Cheese! |
Sparklers! |
After the fireworks show, it was time for the kiddos to go to sleep, after all the fun, they all surprising went to sleep without issues. Evan gave us the most trouble, but we only had to go up twice before he got the message that it was lights out! Once the kids were asleep it was time for some grown up fun - drinks and board games! We rang in the new year with a champagne toast and then it was time for all of us to hit the hay, because even though we were up late, the children would be up early!
2013 was a great year but we are ready for what 2014 has in store for us!

365 ~ 2014: Day 7
Swimming lessons today. You couldn't pay me to be in that pool on a day like today! It was 10 degrees but when you add in the windchill, it felt like MINUS 10 degrees....Brrrrrrr!!

365 ~ 2014: Day 6
Evan is having a blast playing in the snow this year! He's able to make it up the hill all on his own! Thankfully we still have some snow after the heavy rain we got today! Though it's probably going to be a sheet of ice now.

The King and Queen (that is what they called themselves, Evan was the evil dragon!) hanging out while big brothers play basketball.

365 ~ 2014: Day 3
It was about 4 degrees this morning, but that didn't stop us from getting a couple runs in before warming up with some hot cocoa!

365 ~ 2014: Day 2
We are still on winter break, so this wasn't a "snow day" for us, but we still had fun hanging out at home and playing in the snow! After the hustle and bustle of the Holidays the snow sort of forced us to stay in and relax and it was much needed around here! Too bad Daddy had to go back to work.
