Happy Birthday to my partner in crime! We celebrated the day by heading to the movies to see The Avengers - Age of Ultron in the afternoon followed by birthday dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant!

365 ~ 2015: Day 149
While the bigs were out, the little got a one on one lesson in mini-golf from Dad!

365 ~ 2015: Day 148
Tonight the boys surprised Dad with an early birthday surprise! It would be hard to surprise him on Sunday (his actual birthday!) because he is home with us. So Evan and I took a drive down to the Cheesecake Factory this morning to pick him up a slice of his favorite cheesecake and then they got him a new Red Sox hat to replace his old faded one! We'll do more celebrating on Sunday but we were happy we got to pull off the surprise!

365 ~ 2015: Day 139
Here is David scoring the first run for his team in the bottom of the third. That started the rally his team needed to come out on top! Playing the other Concord teams is tough, one the one hand I want my kids team to win and I want him to play well, but sometimes that means cheering against your friends kid. It's much more fun to play against the other towns teams!

365 ~ 2015: Day 138
My littlest and I had a lunch date, he made himself a pepperoni pizza! He made a smiley face.

365 ~ 2015: Day 137
David being coached about what he should be doing at the plate. All game long his coach is out there with words of encouragement when they make a good move even when it didn't get the results they were looking for. He is always asking them questions about what their jobs are in each position and giving them tips on how to be a better ball player. It's been a lot of fun watching David this year, he is going to walk away after this season with a new-found love of the sport!

Shaun smiling on first base (with his awesome coach!) after a great hit. He's really starting to get the hang of it, and he even made a great play at third base tagging the player out!

365 ~ 2015: Day 133
This nugget is a beast! He was in the 97th percentile for his height and weight. It is no surprise people forget he still is not in Kindergarten yet when they see him walking around the school with me! He is definitely one of the biggest kids in his class!
Evan Turns FIVE!
Through pure coincidence, Evan celebrated his birthday in Florida during our recent trip to Disney and Universal Studios! What a special way to turn FIVE! On his actual birthday, we spent the day at Wet & Wild and when we got back we made some burgers and dogs on the grill. All day he asked about a cake. "It is my birthday and I'm supposed to have cake..." is all I heard all day.
We didn't tell him that we had already picked up an ice cream cake that morning and hid it in the freezer. The look on his face in the picture below says it all! He was so excited when we started to sing and he saw his cake!
He got his birthday cake in Florida, but never had the chance to choose his special birthday meal. So when we got back home he asked to have breakfast and he asked if he could have the waffle with ice cream! The waitstaff even put a candle on top and came to sing to him. It was really nice!
Today Evan had his well check! He is growing like a weed. He is in the 90+ percentile for height and weight. People always forget that up until recently he was only four! He is mistaken for a kindergartner a lot when we are at the school. It also has to do with how well spoken he is for his age. He always has been. He's still a man of the people and I worry that he'll run off with a stranger every time we are out. I have really had to tell him that he should never go anywhere without telling me, even if he knows the person. He's stubborn and opinionated and a born leader. I cannot wait to see him next fall when he starts Kindergarten.

365 ~ 2015: Day 132
David's debut in the infield tonight, playing 2nd base. He had a couple miscues, as the game is faster pace than it was last year and he's still got a lot to learn. The best part was his coach taking the time to explain mistakes he made and so next time he'll be able to rock it!

365 ~ 2015: Day 131
Family Center took a field trip to Sal's Pizza! The kids had so much fun learning about how the pizza is made and checking out the cool rotating pizza oven. While the favorite part is always the bus ride, they really enjoyed getting to play with pizza dough and eating a slice for "snack". We are lucky to have such a great community to offer our younglings these cool experiences!

Got to spend my day yesterday with some really cool Moms at my annual Mother's Day Brunch, but we missed the ones who could not be there.

Happy Mother's Day!
Today we celebrated our 4th annual Mother's Day Brunch! It was such a lovely day and I always enjoy the company. Not everyone was able to be here this year so we kept it much more simple. On the menu was scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, tator-tot hasbrowns, cherry morning rolls, and a make your own waffle bar with strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips, whipped cream and vanilla ice cream!

I was working at the school yesterday afternoon and these turned to see Shaun trying to teach Evan one of those clapping games. It brought me back to the days of Miss Mary Mack! I couldn't resist snapping the picture to capture the moment.

David scored a run tonight in his teams 12-6 win against Bow tonight! We need to work on his sliding he is learning so much from his coach and new teammates, I know he'll be a pro by the end of the season!
