52 Weeks ~ 2017: Week 8

Week 8 - weekly update includes a birthday party, spirit week, lots of meetings (boring!), lip sync, piano recital and the a last basketball game!

Celebrating Zoe and Owen's birthdays! Zoe loved her doctor kit that we got her!

Wednesday February 22nd

It was Spirit Week at the boys school and today was Wacky Wednesday!

Thursday February 23rd

The annual BGS Lip Sync and David did a Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) from Hamilton with some friends and Shaun did Thriller with his friends!

Shaun's last basketball game! He had the best coaches and learned so much about the game this year.

52 Weeks ~ 2017: Week 7

Week 7 - weekly update includes a trip to the movies, another snow storm, Valentines Day prep, another snow day, a sick day and our traditional "Valentine's Day Fancy Dinner"

Sunday February 12

The forecast was calling for a major snow storm to start mid-afternoon so we crammed in a quick trip to the movies to see the new Lego Batman Movie. After getting home the boys worked on getting all their Valentine's made for Tuesday!

Monday February 13

Another snow day! We got the call the night before so we knew we could sleep in! David ended up coming down with a fever and ear ache so he didn't get to enjoy the snow like his brothers did.

Tuesday February 14th

A few years ago, we began a tradition of celebrating Valentine's Day but getting dressed up and eating a "fancy" dinner in the dining room. This year the menu was Lobster Colorado with baked potatoes and brussel sprouts!

Thursday February 16th

When you're dad is a doctor, you don't go to the doctor unless you're dying. After 3 nights of ear pain, it was time to go get this kid an antibiotic. He didn't want to go, but his friend convinced him to go by offering to sit with him in the waiting room and keeping him company! He's lucky to have such a great friend!

52 Weeks ~ 2017: Week 6

Week 6 - weekly update includes Superbowl LI, another snow day, basketball games and a lip sync rehearsal!

Sunday February 5th

On Sunday we watched the greatest comeback in the history of Super Bowls! It was EPIC and it was fun to be with friends while we watched them score the winning touchdown in the first ever overtime.

Tuesday February 7th

School was cancelled for the day (again!) and so we made the most of it. The storm didn't really hit us until noon time, so that gave us some time in the morning to run a couple errands. We picked up a the movie Trolls at Target and enjoyed a nice cozy afternoon, but not without a little outside time!

Wednesday February 8th

Sometimes David can be a good big brother! He was helping Evan do a homework page while I was getting ready to head out to my weekly school board budget work session.

Saturday February 11

Today was Evan's last basketball session. He enjoyed it so much and I was really happy that the Concord High School team decided to collaborate with the Parks and Rec to come and mentor the young kids! Evan scored a basket in his 2 on 2 scrimmage!

Shaun also a basketball game and he scored his first basket! He was so excited to use the skills he learned to get himself open and set up the shot!

After basketball, David and his lip sync group got together so we could block out the choreography! They are doing Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) from Hamilton. We found some YouTube videos to help guide us and they did a great job! I can't wait for the performance in a couple of weeks!
