365 ~ 2014: Day 361
Had a great time at the Monarchs game tonight! They won in OT 3-2! I'm proud do say that Evan took the first two images with my phone! Not bad for a selfie and a rink shot!

365 ~ 2014: Day 357
The boys had a much better day today. It started off with more errands since I had forgotten some things from the day before. On the way to the first store, I reminded the boys about what happened the other day.
Then the conversation turns to Christmas and how Santa is coming in a couple days! I told them that MAYBE Santa was coming, and David proceeded to tell me that Santa will come no matter what he just might leave coal.
That is when the littlest shouts...
"Hey guys remember? If we get coal, we can just squeeze it in our hands so hard until it turns into a DIAMOND! Then we will be rich!"
If only it worked that way kid!

365 ~ 2014: Day 356
Breakfast before Christmas errands.
The day sadly went downhill from here. Despite my constant reminders that wrestling in the store aisles was not appropriate behavior, and that every time I had stop to remind them of appropriate behavior just wasted time and resulted in a longer than necessary outing, they continued to make sad choices in the stores.
Fast forward to finally making it back home for the night. I had sent the boys down to play, there was going to be no TV and no electronics for the remainder of the night. I explained to them AGAIN why I was disappointed, and how their behavior in the stores wasted so much of my time, which is especially important as Christmas is a few days away. They went to play, and I began working on my prep for the Christmas truffles I had to make.
I called them up for dinner and they came running to me with a present. Without anyone telling them to do so, they wrote me a little note that said "Mom we are sorry for wasting your time so we are giving you a present". The present was 4 quarters, one for each store that we had to go to today. When I asked them what the quarters were for David said it was to pay me back for the wasted time! I couldn't help but laugh. It was so sweet, and needless to say, they earned a Christmas movie before bed time tonight.

We ran into Olaf today while we were out Christmas shopping. Evan didn't want his picture at first but then as we were walking out the door he changed his mind. The lady taking the photos was really nice to give him his own picture.

Evan helped us out making up the activity bags for our PTA community service project! He insisted on making up his OWN bags without my help! With his help and the generosity of our school community we were able to make up 58 bags!

Lego Santa!!!! I know him!
We are officially home from a wonderful little getaway to the Big Apple! I crossed off a Bucket List item (the Rockettes), walked around, shopped and even enjoyed a Broadway show. Next time, we'll plan ahead better since we missed out on the show we wanted to see and had a heck of a time finding a place to eat!
We missed the boys while we were away, but they were in good hand with their Omi and GG! We are super grateful to them both for giving me the chance to tag along on Charlie's conference trip! And the best part was coming home to a CLEAN house!! Seriously! In-law jackpot! The bestest ever!

While the husband is at his conference, the wife gets a front row ticket (benefit to only needing one!) to the Rockettes! Crossed one off the bucket list today!
