Oh snap.ðŸĪĶ‍♀️ We did not know the breaker tripped and it's been so cold the whole thing froze.

12M ~ January 2022

Demo Day 3 (upstairs addition before and after part 1)

Servpro back again and the dumpster fire saga continues. They don't really know the extent of the damage behind the kitchen cabinets. We know water damaged the kitchen floor but how much is still unknown at this time and they're not looking forward to tearing out two of our kitchen cabinets to find out and have to consult with the insurance company before they continue demo...ðŸĪ·ðŸŧ‍♀️ðŸĪĶðŸŧ‍♀️ If I don't laugh I'll cry. 😂

12M ~ December 2021

When you have to take your kid to an early morning appointment in your old stomping grounds, you take him to one of your old favorites for breakfast! 😋

Came back from Evan's appointment to this!  #itsfineimfineeverythingsfine 😆

New oven and dishwasher installation - excited to have the oven before hosting Christmas. Less excited about the fact that I can't use this space right now and I'm way behind on a bunch of stuff. ðŸĪ·ðŸŧ‍♀️

My kitchen on Christmas Eve Eve! ðŸĪ·ðŸŧ‍♀️ðŸĪŠ

Demo Day 2:

Flooring all ripped up. And the addition of 6 more fans! ðŸĪŠðŸ˜†
They'll be back after Christmas to begin the upper floor and I'm beyond thankful that I get to have my kitchen intact for now! 😎

12M ~ December 2021

Disaster strikes!  The main floor toilet was unbeknownst leaking into the downstairs.

Not exactly how we wanted to spend these precious few days before Christmas. But it could certainly be worse. ðŸĪĶðŸŧ‍♀️ The team at Servpro are total Rockstars and definitely need to be at the top of Santa's nice list! 🎅🎄

When in quarantine - find dumb projects to work on and then make all of us help.  🙄

365 ~ 2016: Day 75

Our solar panels!  Just one more step and we'll be a solar powered home!

March 9, 2016

365 ~ 2016: Day 69

Today we are one step closer to solar power, excited to see it all completed!

365 ~ 2016: Day 49

Our quick kitchen renovation project is completed. It's amazing how much bigger the space appears by just removing one set of kitchen cabinets. Now all we need to finish the space off and open it up even more are french doors. Just have to work on convincing the husband!

365 ~ 2015: Day 217

Plaster and water!  At 6am the plaster truck pulled into our backyard and finished a little after 11am.  To make sure the pool was filled for the start up that is scheduled for tomorrow morning we had two trucks of water delivered to give us a head start.  We had planned to just fill the entire pool with the hose, but it would not have taken too long.  The electricians were back getting everything wired and now we wait for the guy to turn it all one and show me how to run it all!  I plan to take lots of notes!  We still have some work to do with getting the fence (we have a temporary one right now) and fixing the yard, but we can swim and that is good enough for me right now!

365 ~ 2015: Day 216

Still a lot of work to be done, but we have a finished pool deck and equipment installed.  The pool was drained of the funk water today and washed down.  It's ready for plaster and water tomorrow!

365 ~ 2015: Day 214

The pool saga continues.  It's been an interesting process but the light is at the end of the tunnel and we've been assured we'll be swimming by Saturday!  The decking company started a week and a half ago with the grading and back-filling.  Then last Monday they came with a crew to install the bullnose coping.  We thought they would be here last Friday to install the pavers, but they were unable to start until today.  They are going full steam ahead and today they built the retaining wall at the bottom of the hill, the equipment slab installed, measured out and prepped the layout of the pavers and began the process of installation.  I am excited to see what the rest of the week brings.  Tomorrow they will finish up with the deck installation and the pool company will set the equipment.  Wednesday the electrician will hook it all up to the panel and then Thursday they will install the white plaster.  As soon as the plaster is installed we begin filling it up and they will start it all up on Friday.  I'm doing a little dance to the Pool Gods that all the ducks line up in a row to get this project completed this week!

365 ~ 2015: Day 190

Today we could walk out onto the shell so I had the boys stand in the deep end!

July 9, 2015

365 ~ 2015: Day 189

The boys got a kick out of watching the crew shoot the gunite for the pool today.  It took 5 cement trucks, 5 guys and 6 hours to get to our new pool shell, they are like a well oiled machine.  Now it cures for a week.
