12M ~ July 2021

Another magical show comes to an end.  I'm always in awe with what these kids do in such a short amount of time.  This show in particular was impressive.  The entire cast is on stage the entire show, they had to learn every single song and choreography to go along with it and had FIVE days to do it.  There were no blackouts or breaks to regroup or take a minute, scenes to be back stage - they have to be on and in character the entire time.  These kids are so inspiring. I'm just so proud of every single kid in this show, especially these three! 🎭🤩🥰

Not to brag or anything 😉, but I helped paint that beautiful stained glass window - under the tutelage of the brilliant set designer Leslie - she makes even the most amateur painter look good!! 😁🎨

Also this production of Godspell, Jr. is a visual masterpiece.

12M ~ July 2021

Last day in Burlington and we hit up some brunch at The Skinny Pancake before one last adventure on the lake. The Bloody Mary was delicious!

After brunch we checked out of the hotel and headed to the lake to use the paddle boards we borrowed from our friends; the blue algae was gone and so it was safe to be in the water again.  However, I learned that paddle boarding on a choppy lake is much different than on a river. Also, unintentionally, I can cross off swimming in Lake Champlain off my bucket list. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

This was such a nice getaway, we really enjoyed Burlington. We were able to walk to almost all of our destinations. We ate some really good food and had some really great drinks. I still prefer the ocean to the lake but it was nice to explore a new city!

One last brewery to hit on our way out of town - Burlington Beer Co.!

Lake Champlain hair, don't care. 😆

12M ~ July 2021

Day 2 in Burlington, did not disappoint, despite some rain this afternoon! Bike ride on the Causeway, more breweries, more bourbon, more good food. 🤩

The Causeway bike path

We made it back before the rain storm!  It lasted about an hour so it wasn't too bad and we were able to get right back out to the city for another brewery stop and then dinner.

Next brewery stop was Zero Gravity Beer Hall.  I was happy to find something worthy of my tastebuds as I am not a beer fan!  This place offered pre-mixed cocktails.  I thought the Manhattan was pretty solid considering.

Not impressed with the humidity.
It's not as bad as Monica but this was flat ironed before we left.

Church Street was such a cool place to walk around!

The place that I had wanted to eat, only had an available table at 8pm, so we decided to kill some time at The Burlington Whiskey Room.  And we couldn't resist trying the Chicken Curry Poutine and the peach old fashioned was amazing!  YUM!

Finally to our dinner reservation at Pizzeria Verita.

This was my favorite food of the entire trip.  This is house made mozzarella made fresh daily.  I wish I could have taken a vat of it home with me.

On another whirlwind adventure, this time to Burlington VT!

All checked in at the hotel and ready to go exploring!

First stop on our adventure, Foam Brewers.

Beautiful views of Lake Champlain, except there were posted warnings about Blue Algae.

More exploring and on to the next Brewery, Switchback Brewing Co.

After hitting up some breweries, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our dinner reservations.

Church Street

All those beers caught up to Charlie - here he is sneaking onto a worksite to use the porta-potties.
