Happy Halloween!

I just love Halloween.  It's even more fun now that the boys are older!  The last few years we have gone as a theme (Toy Story and Star Wars) but this year they each wanted to be their own thing.  Because this is probably the last year that Evan will let me choose, I wanted him to be this adorable gnome.  Thankfully he LOVED it and I'm pretty certain this is my all time favorite costume.  And Shaun was the Pillsbury Dough Boy one year!

This year Evan was old enough to really enjoy the festivities and even made it around the entire neighborhood for trick or treating!  Our Halloween celebration started last Saturday down in Revere at our old rec center.  It was so much fun and amazing to see how much all the kids have grown up!

On Sunday we had our friends over to have an impromptu Halloween celebration, the kids had fun decorating a spider cupcake and making a pumpkin ornament.

Happy Halloween!
Tonight we had our city trick or treat.  Our neighborhood is always packed with people and many houses go all out with their decorations!  Last year we noticed (thanks to the foot of snow!) that people were coming up to our door even though our lights were off, so this year I decided to leave a bowl of candy outside.  By the time we got home the bucket was empty, so hopefully people were respectful and only took a few.

We are all ready to go!
Shaun was very excited to get going!

David LOVED all the cool Halloween decorations!

The BEST house on the block!  They always go all out!
Checking out the loot and getting to eat some!
I am already looking forward to next year.  Still hoping that someday we'll get to do Harry Potter but David has already declared that he wants to be Captain Underpants next year!  I think we'll have to see about that!
