Easter Weekend Festivities!

Easter was late this year, but it was still a little chilly for late April.  I'm just happy that all the snow had melted.  We started our Easter celebrations on Saturday with two Egg Hunts.  The first one was sponsored by the city at our local park and the second one was put on by one of the neighborhood families!  Both were fun and the boys got way more candy than any one person needs to have.

After the egg hunts we did the traditional coloring of eggs.  I don't think I will be letting the boys choose the method next year.  We were not big fans of this system, and they got bored quickly since they could only do one at a time.

The Easter Bunny arrived and even left a basket for Mom and Dad!

On Easter morning the boys were gracious enough to sleep until 6:45am and waited until 7am before begging us to go down and see what the Bunny brought!

Candy, Books and Baseball stuff!
After baskets it was time to get ready for all our guests; we were going to have a full house!  On the menu was leg of lamb, two kinds of ham, spring peas with bacon, mashed potatoes, candied yams, rice pilaf and the green beans in a can for my mom and brother.

I always love seeing people enjoying my food!
Especially the kids!

After our meal, we sent the kids down to the cul-du-sac so we could hide all the eggs.  This is our 3rd Easter, so they know the drill - no eggs until they all smile nice for a picture!

And no event at my house is complete without a group shot!

And family portraits!

This was a remake of an old Easter Classic
