Yesterday we headed north west to Lake Placid to celebrate a college friends 40th birthday!  Part of the trip was a day of skiing at Whiteface Mountain. It was a balmy -1 outside, but thankfully it wasn't windy or it could have been a lot worse!  The kids were all troopers!

During the last run of the day, on an icy black diamond David was taken out by a runaway skier.  Here he is showing off his battle wound!

That night we braved the cold to go see the Arial finals.  It was such a cool experience seeing up close what these skiers can do on their skis.
