365 ~ 2015: Day 194

Evan loves to play with his "lego guys" and it's always fun to spy on him and listen to the scenes he creates.

Shaun is SEVEN!

A month ago, this handsome boy turned SEVEN and then finished his last week of first grade.  He is growing up, off to second grade in the fall.  He is smart, sweet and silly!  He never hesitates to tell you that he loves you and flash you his best smile!

The Birthday Boy!
His winning smile!
Since he has grown so much we surprised him by upgrading him to a bigger bike.  There was a bit of a learning curve at first, but now he is riding like a pro!

SEVEN!
Shaun was REALLY concentrating on his wish!
Today was his well check.  He's healthy and growing like a weed!  He had the doctor in stitches with his "old man" ramblings about things that had nothing to do with the questions she was asking!  But that is totally Shaun and one of the things we love about him!

Height: 51 inches (89th percentile)
Weight: 61 lbs (85th percentile)

365 ~ 2015: Day 193

Shaun is growing like a weed!  He is in the 89th percentile for his height and 85th for his weight.

365 ~ 2015: Day 190

Today we could walk out onto the shell so I had the boys stand in the deep end!

365 ~ 2015: Day 189

The boys got a kick out of watching the crew shoot the gunite for the pool today.  It took 5 cement trucks, 5 guys and 6 hours to get to our new pool shell, they are like a well oiled machine.  Now it cures for a week.

365 ~ 2015: Day 188

A rite of passage of sorts, my last baby got his library card today!  He was so excited to be able to use his own card to check out his books today!

365 ~ 2015: Day 186

Evan is definitely ready for our new pool.  He's been in high gear since mid-June, focused and determined to swim without help!  He's not 100% ready to be without a vest, but I imagine he will be by the end of summer!

Celebrating the 4th!

Every year we celebrate the fourth with our friends!  This year we got to celebrate in their new home, which came about after the last we had our last year cookout.  We didn't know it at the time but it was the last event we would have at their old home.

The new neighborhood was a lot of fun.  The kids could roam and ride bikes and we were able to enjoy a very impressive neighborhood fireworks show that one of the neighbors does every year.  It made the show we put on in previous years seem very sad!

Ready to celebrate the 4th!
Snack time!

The first picture with the entire clan!  It had started to rain pretty heavily so my plans to be outside and in a row, like last year, were squashed!
All ELEVEN kiddos!
Aside from the annual group shot, we also have a traditional menu of surf and turf for this celebration!  The steak and lobster went perfectly with the Cherry Sangria I made!
YUM!
Thankfully the rain did not last very long (maybe an hour or so!) and we were able to get back outdoors and toast marshmallows.  Another tradition!

Once it was dark enough we started the walk to the end of the street to catch the fireworks.  I really was expecting a few bangs, certainly more than we have ever done.  However, what we got, was something bigger than I have seen at some towns.  It was 2 different houses and at one point it felt like we were witnessing a "Battle of the Fireworks" so to speak.  It was pretty spectacular for a backyard show!

Happy 4th of July!

365 ~ 2015: Day 183

Shaun shows off the amusement park that the kids built on the last day of Lego camp!  This was by far the kids favorite camp ever and they cannot wait until they get to go again next year!

365 ~ 2015: Day 182

Some really cool builds going on at Lego Camp!  I love how excited they are to talk about what they have created each night.  This camp is HIGHLY recommend by the boys, they LOVE it.  They are sad that tomorrow is the last day and they have to wait until next summer to go again.
