We had such a great time hanging with the Mailloux gang this weekend and of course we can't say goodbye without getting the mandatory group picture!

365 ~ 2013: Day 355
Hanging out at Santa's Village for the day to celebrate Owen's 6th Birthday! We had so much fun! It rained, but the kids did not care and it's really beautiful at night. If you haven't been in the winter, I highly recommend it! Happy Birthday Owen, so glad we could celebrate with you!

365 ~ 2013: Day 352
For spirit week at the boys school it was wear accessories associated with the holiday you celebrate (hats, scarfs, necklaces). I found this Santa hat that David wore when he was 4 months old, celebrating his first Christmas! Evan's head is clearly too big for this hat, but he insisted on wearing it! And making silly faces as well.

365 ~ 2013: Day 349
We had an unexpected trip to NY this weekend to be with family to celebrate the life of Charlie's Great Uncle. We heard many great stories of the wonderful life he lived, and while the circumstances were sad, it was nice to be able to see everyone. The boys really enjoyed meeting all of their distant cousins. On our way home today, we took a quick detour into the city to see the famous Rockerfeller Center Christmas tree.

David had a couple piano workshops this week, today was Drawing to the Music. He completed his artwork that will go on display at the music school and then made this one during his free art time. There is a story behind this painting but we got busy tonight so I'll have to add it in tomorrow!

Now that Evan is a "big boy" (as he puts it!), we felt comfortable setting up the train the boys got from Omi & Grampy a few years ago! They had lots of fun making it go around the tree tonight.

Entering this image into the I Heart Faces ~ Best Face of 2013 challenge. There are a million more up close "faces" and portraits, I could have chosen, but I picked this one as my "best face of 2013" because it was a tender moment shared between a great grandson and his great grandmother. These are the moments that make me want to be a better photographer. This is a treasured memory that my son will have forever!

365 ~ 2013: Day 335
Today we ventured out in the rain to see the Christmas parade! At least it wasn't freezing like last year. I'd rather have the drizzle!
Thanksgiving Part 2 and Kick Off to Christmas!
This year we had a second Thanksgiving so we could see Charlie's family since they were at the Cape this year. Because we didn't want to have Turkey again, I decided to prepare Prime Rib! YUM! It is also our tradition to break out the Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving so with everyone's help we were able to get the tree decorated!
Just like on Thanksgiving, I had to get a picture of the whole family together! It wasn't as cold, but still pretty cold!
The boys were most excited to be able to spend time with GG, especially Evan who didn't leave her side the entire day.
It was fun hanging out with family and switching gears from Thanksgiving to Christmas! Having Thanksgiving so late this year thought has really thrown me for a loop! I"m feeling a lot more disorganized! Part of our Kick of to Christmas includes our annual trip to the Christmas Parade, we go every year with my Mom and Sister. This year it was drizzling, but I think I would rather that than the freezing cold that we sat in last year.
We came home from the parade and the boys sat down to make their wishlists! Our Elf Finn had returned that morning and he was going to take their lists back with him to give to Santa!
