The Boys Avengers Birthday Bash!

Today we celebrated the boys May, June & August birthdays, Avengers style.  It was a gorgeous day and the water slide we rented was a huge hit!  I'm already looking forward to next years celebration!

Avengers Assemble!
Since we combine the celebrations, this year we let Shaun choose the theme.  He's a HUGE fan of Captain America so it was not surprising when he decided he wanted to have an Avengers birthday.  I don't go super crazy with theme stuff but I do like to have some decorations related to the chosen theme and I design the ice cream cake with the theme in mind, as well as the pinata.  I'll also create quirky food names that relate to our theme.  Last year we had Hansburgers for our Star Wars Birthday and this year it was Thorburgers!
Avenger decorations!
Because we have no shade in our back yard we decided it would be best to rent a tent.  Good thing we had some extra set of hands that came early to help get it set up!

And like the previous two years we rented an inflatable.  This year I made sure to reserve it early so we could get the water slide!

Of course we can't have a party without food!  This year was no exception.  We had Hulk-Dogs and Thorburgers, Pott's Pork, Hawkeye Wings, Captain Kielbasa, Phil-tato Caulson Salad, Stark-ghetti Salad, Fury's Fruit Salad, Asgaard Ales, Black Widow Punch and Gamma-ade for the kids!

Which is really just Peach Sangria!
Shaun forgot to come up and get his plate!  He's patiently waiting for his Hulk-dog!
Even Jason Statham made an appearance!
Brady loving his Hulk-dog!
And of course, not birthday bash is complete without the traditional ice cream cake!  Each year it gets easier to put together.  I'm kind of a pro now!

The boys are ready to make a wish!

We even got in on the Avengers fun!
Time for the pinata!  All the kids got an Avenger's cup to collect their prizes!

Eye black from uncle David and opening the new music stand for his piano book from Omi & Grampy!
Grammy helps Evan show off his new magic wand toy!  He was so excited to get this from our friend!
It's always a fun day and the boys never seem to mind having to share a party, which is nice because for me, it's just easier than having to coordinate 3 separate parties back to back.  Next year David has already said he's planning on a lego theme, but we have a whole year to figure that out!  Thank you to all our family and friends who helped us celebrate and made it a great day!
