Vacationland!

Ahhh! So we are on vacation in Maine and it has been so nice! Nice to have the Doc around more and nice to be able to just relax as a family with our friends! Here are some pictures of the kids enjoying our first vacation as a family of five!

Evan has been awesome on his first vacation! This was taken while we were out to dinner at Dos Amigos! He was a awake the entire time and was just content to look around and smile at me!

David and Maddie! These two only see each other a few times a year and they always seem to pick up right where they left off!

One of the best parts about our visit to Maine is heading over to the lake! It was a little rough but David did so well swimming through the waves!

Tonight the Docs finished the swing set project! I don't have the finished pictures yet but here are some of the process. Since the kids outnumber the adults and a party to get ready for, the build took longer than it would. But the goal was to finish before Saturday and they did it! It's so cool!

Evan: 2 Months

Today we took Chunk for his 2 month well visit. Everything looked great! He really is the best baby! He has had his routine down for quite some time now and even though he is still waking for night feedings, I am only up with him for no more than 15 minutes. Oh and just as we expected he still lives up to his nickname!

Weight: 14 lbs 13oz (91st percentile)
Height: 23 inches (30th percentile)

It is no wonder he is wearing 6 month clothes already! In fact I have officially unpacked all of the 6 month clothes and sorted all of the summer stuff. All our newborn and 0-3 month clothes were packed up for the very last time!

Shaun also had his well visit today. He did so well even when the must gave him his two shots. He is right on track for height and weight, and he has started to show a little interest in using the potty! Next week he has his first session with early intervention and our goal is to help him with saying more words and saying them correctly.

Shaun's stats:
Weight: 29 lbs (58th percentile)
Height: 2ft 10.65 (47th percentile)

Happy 4th of July!!

What a great weekend!! The weather was perfect, hot but at least it wasn't hazy and humid! We had a great time celebrating and we hope you all did too! Check out Evan celebrating his first 4th of July wearing his new festive onesie from Old Navy!

On Saturday we took the boys to the Annual 4th (or 3rd, rather!) of July Celebration at Hill Park. Shaun was old enough this year to enjoy the bounce houses and he had a blast! They also had pony rides, Silly Willy the Clown, slush, cotton candy and tattoos! The best part is that it is all FREE!

Then on the 4th we hit the beach for the morning. It was even hotter than Saturday so a perfect day for the beach. After the beach we headed home to get ready to grill some burgers and dogs with our friends! The boys got to roast marshmallows and David got to twirl some sparklers!!

Summer in the City

This week has been what Summer was all about. Even though Monday was pretty humid, we hung out by the pool so it didn't seem as hot. The rest of the week was absolutely beautiful! We had fun hanging out with family, at the beach and having picnics at different parks!

Piggy Banks!

Many moons again when we first moved Shaun into David's room, I was awoken at 5:45am by the sound of David crying "Mommy, Shaun broke my bank". I ran down the hall only to find David's piggy bank (that was hand painted by my cousin Jodi) smashed into pieces. He was so upset. I explained to David that Shaun is little and thought it was a toy, and dropped it when he realized how heavy it was. I wiped his tears and promised him a new bank.

I sent Jodi a message asking her if she would be able to make him a new one and also asked if she would mind making banks for all the boys! She's the BEST! I met her over at the Learning Express and purchased the new banks and she (along with the assistance of one of her co-workers) hand painted three new banks with the boys names and the Boston sports teams logos!

Check out their new banks! I can't even get over how awesome they came out! These pictures do not even do them justice!!

That Seven Week Smile!

I love little baby smiles! When David was 7 weeks old I took a picture of him in his bouncy with a big smile on his face! Then without realizing it I got a picture of Shaun in the same seat with the same big smile. When I checked the dates they were both taken at 7 weeks. So now I wanted to make sure I got one of Evan in the same seat, at the same time!

I brought down the bouncey seat on Saturday and started taking some pictures. He was having so much fun smiling for me!

Here are all three of my boys with their 7 week smiles!

Last Day of School!

Today was David's last day of his first year of pre-school. When the school year begins again, he'll be going to school three days! He has learned so much at school and he is already looking forward to next year!

What a difference a year makes! Check out these pictures of David on the FIRST day of school and the LAST day of school! He's really grown up so much!

Milestones...

Back in the day when the Doc and I were discussing marriage and kids, we always said we would would have three and call it a day. So with the birth of Evan our family is now complete! However, even though we are 100% sure of our decision not to have any more kids, I cannot help but feel a little sad. It doesn't help that Evan is such a good baby who has adjusted so well into our daily routine. Plus we'll never have the experience of having a little girl.

Yesterday marked 6 weeks since Evan joined our family and with each milestone he hits, brings feelings of pride but also some sadness, as this is the very LAST time we will ever experience these milestones. It really hit me last night when the Doc handed me the VERY LAST size one diaper (he never did fit into the newborn size!). Evan is now officially in size 2's. Our rolly polly is now in size 2 diapers and wearing 3-6 month clothes, which means I need to pack up all of our newborn and 0-3 month clothes and pass them on.

In fact, at the rate this kid is growing, he'll probably outgrow this swing soon and with no more little ones to need it, we'll be listing it on craigslist or something. I'll feel better though once Evan is potty trained and I never have to change poopy diapers again!

Shaun: Causing Trouble Since 2008

Happy Birthday to our little troublemaker Shaun! It is hard to believe that he is already two! He is growing into such a fun little boy, with a smile that lights up a room, he is our Mr. Personality. He is a ball of energy who keeps me on my toes WAY more than his older brother David ever did. He definitely keeps things interesting, that is for sure!!

Jammies!

The advantage to having all boys, is that clothes can be passed down from one kid to the next. I have still had to buy some new clothes for each kid though, because each kid seems to be bigger than the next! But I definitely don't have to buy as much!

For example, below are pictures of the boys in the same pair of 3 month pajamas but David is 3 months, Shaun is 2 months and Evan is 1 month!

Evan: 1 Month

I took Evan for a weight check yesterday and at ONE month old he is a whopping 12lbs 8oz! No wonder isn't fitting into 0-3 month cloths and ready to graduate to size 2 diapers!! At on month, David was 10lbs 2oz and at 6 weeks Shaun was 12lbs 6oz. David might be the oldest but he is definitly the small fry!

Here is Evan in the 0-3 month outfit I had bought him (he only got to wear it 3 times!!). Notice how snug it is. We passed it on to Liam and I hear it fits him just right!

Ah! That is more like it! A 3-6 month outfit where there is still some room to grow!
