Piggy Banks!

Many moons again when we first moved Shaun into David's room, I was awoken at 5:45am by the sound of David crying "Mommy, Shaun broke my bank". I ran down the hall only to find David's piggy bank (that was hand painted by my cousin Jodi) smashed into pieces. He was so upset. I explained to David that Shaun is little and thought it was a toy, and dropped it when he realized how heavy it was. I wiped his tears and promised him a new bank.

I sent Jodi a message asking her if she would be able to make him a new one and also asked if she would mind making banks for all the boys! She's the BEST! I met her over at the Learning Express and purchased the new banks and she (along with the assistance of one of her co-workers) hand painted three new banks with the boys names and the Boston sports teams logos!

Check out their new banks! I can't even get over how awesome they came out! These pictures do not even do them justice!!

That Seven Week Smile!

I love little baby smiles! When David was 7 weeks old I took a picture of him in his bouncy with a big smile on his face! Then without realizing it I got a picture of Shaun in the same seat with the same big smile. When I checked the dates they were both taken at 7 weeks. So now I wanted to make sure I got one of Evan in the same seat, at the same time!

I brought down the bouncey seat on Saturday and started taking some pictures. He was having so much fun smiling for me!

Here are all three of my boys with their 7 week smiles!

Last Day of School!

Today was David's last day of his first year of pre-school. When the school year begins again, he'll be going to school three days! He has learned so much at school and he is already looking forward to next year!

What a difference a year makes! Check out these pictures of David on the FIRST day of school and the LAST day of school! He's really grown up so much!

Milestones...

Back in the day when the Doc and I were discussing marriage and kids, we always said we would would have three and call it a day. So with the birth of Evan our family is now complete! However, even though we are 100% sure of our decision not to have any more kids, I cannot help but feel a little sad. It doesn't help that Evan is such a good baby who has adjusted so well into our daily routine. Plus we'll never have the experience of having a little girl.

Yesterday marked 6 weeks since Evan joined our family and with each milestone he hits, brings feelings of pride but also some sadness, as this is the very LAST time we will ever experience these milestones. It really hit me last night when the Doc handed me the VERY LAST size one diaper (he never did fit into the newborn size!). Evan is now officially in size 2's. Our rolly polly is now in size 2 diapers and wearing 3-6 month clothes, which means I need to pack up all of our newborn and 0-3 month clothes and pass them on.

In fact, at the rate this kid is growing, he'll probably outgrow this swing soon and with no more little ones to need it, we'll be listing it on craigslist or something. I'll feel better though once Evan is potty trained and I never have to change poopy diapers again!

Shaun: Causing Trouble Since 2008

Happy Birthday to our little troublemaker Shaun! It is hard to believe that he is already two! He is growing into such a fun little boy, with a smile that lights up a room, he is our Mr. Personality. He is a ball of energy who keeps me on my toes WAY more than his older brother David ever did. He definitely keeps things interesting, that is for sure!!

Jammies!

The advantage to having all boys, is that clothes can be passed down from one kid to the next. I have still had to buy some new clothes for each kid though, because each kid seems to be bigger than the next! But I definitely don't have to buy as much!

For example, below are pictures of the boys in the same pair of 3 month pajamas but David is 3 months, Shaun is 2 months and Evan is 1 month!

Shaun 2 Months Old

Evan: 1 Month

I took Evan for a weight check yesterday and at ONE month old he is a whopping 12lbs 8oz! No wonder isn't fitting into 0-3 month cloths and ready to graduate to size 2 diapers!! At on month, David was 10lbs 2oz and at 6 weeks Shaun was 12lbs 6oz. David might be the oldest but he is definitly the small fry!

Here is Evan in the 0-3 month outfit I had bought him (he only got to wear it 3 times!!). Notice how snug it is. We passed it on to Liam and I hear it fits him just right!

Ah! That is more like it! A 3-6 month outfit where there is still some room to grow!

Memorial Day 2010!

Yesterday we had a cookout at the Stack's to kick off the start of summer! It was a gorgeous day, despite the smoke from the Canadian forest fires. The kids had a blast swimming in the pool, driving their jeeps around the back yard and roasting marshmallows! With the additions of Liam and Evan, the children now outnumber the adults! Needless to say, it was a little crazy but also a lot of fun!

Fun in the pool!

Fun at the Beach!

It's not even June yet and the boys and I have already been to the beach three times. The first trip to the beach was a little cool but it was nice to sit and feel the ocean breeze. It was only about 65 degrees outside so the boys just played in the sand.

The second trip to the beach was SO HOT and HUMID...(blech!). The sun was beating down on us and not even the ocean breeze was enough to give you relief. The boys played in the sand for a bit but we after about an hour they were so done. Our central air was definitely calling our names.

Yesterday...Ahhhh! Now yesterday, was the kind of day a trip to the beach was made for! Hot but not humid, with some clouds in the sky so the sun wasn't constatnly baring down on you, and a the perfect ocean breeze to give you some relief from the hot sun! The boys had a blast and even jumped the waves!

On your mark, get set, GO!

Having fun jumping the waves!

It was days like yesterday where living so close to the beach rocks! I am looking forward to many more beach days like this one!

Chunk is 4 Weeks Old!

Evan is 4 weeks old today (officially one month on Tuesday!) I can't believe how fast the these last 4 weeks have gone by. He is the most perfect baby and the adjustment has been smooth sailing. Evan is the kind of baby that would make a person want MORE babies!

He is easy going, even tempered (unless he is hungry!) and best of all, on a fairly consistent schedule. And let me tell you, that makes night wakings a little more bearable.

I know he had a head start from birth but he is about to grow out the size one pampers swaddlers. He didn't even fit in the newborn size! He is also wearing 3 month outfits, and while he has room to grow, he is certainly not swimming in them either! He just went through another growth spurt and so I cannot wait to see how much he weighs. We go to the doctors on Wednesday to see! Two weeks ago he was 11lbs 1oz, I am thinking he'll be at least 12lbs! He's my little meatball and I just love him to pieces! I mean, just look at those IRRESISTIBLE cheeks!!!!!

Fun at the Rec

The Doc (the most awesomest husband ever!) got me a really sweet new camera for a Mother's Day/Early Birthday present! I decided to take it out for a spin at our Rec Center taking pictures of all Miss Sally's classes. This summer I will be working on a bulletin board to showcase all that our cities recreation department has to offer!

Thanks to this project I was able to get David into the last three sessions of a cooking class called Little Chefs. The first week they made mini calzones and this week they made their own edible arrangements. It is so cute seeing all of the kids having fun with food!

The boys favorite class is called Tic Tac Splat. It's a class where they get to paint, play with playdough, and get MESSY! Basically they get to do all the things that I don't want them to do at home! After all it would be nice to get our security deposit back!

At Playgroup on Monday, the kids had their annual spring hat parade! The kids each make a cool hat and then they get to march around the rec and wave to the office workers!
